Kendra Obrist

Kendra Obrist is a health care executive with decades of experience in product management, professional services, sales/marketing, and leadership. She has a reputation for being creative, insightful, and highly skilled at motivating and managing teams to deliver. 

Kendra has served in positions including President, Chief Marking Officer, VP Product Management, operations management, sales operations, professional services management, business development, and customer service serving health care clients across the spectrum. Kendra spent much of her health care career in the payer/provider connectivity space with companies including Integrated Medical Systems Inc (IMS), a pioneer in information and connectivity solutions serving the payer, provider, and pharmaceutical markets. During her tenure with IMS, she was instrumental in the development of early-stage electronic prescribing, clinical information sharing, clinical data stores and administrative data interchange solutions, growing the company’s client base to over 200 hospital systems, 50,000 physicians, and a leading managed care organization. In 1998, EDS joined Eli Lilly in the IMS venture, forming Kinetra LLC, which was sold to Healtheon/WebMD in 2000. 

In 2000, Kendra joined NaviMedix, a late-stage start-up, ready to enter a high growth phase, to develop and lead the company’s product management function, later adding responsibility for marketing as the Chief Marketing Officer. She developed a best-in-class product management and professional services organization, responsible for creating leading edge clinical, administrative, and financial solutions for the payer and provider markets. In this role, Kendra was an active player in business development and sales engagements, focused on adding network participants and content to the rapidly expanding NaviNet network. In her nine years with NaviMedix, the company grew from a few hundred to over 900,000 provider participants, generating over a million health care interactions each day. 

In 2013, Kendra joined Point-of-Care Partners as a Senior Consultant working to continue to advance the ball with health care information exchange where she is focusing her efforts primarily in interoperability. 

Kendra has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from The Pennsylvania State University.
