Kendra has a breadth of experience developed in roles focused on product management, client / professional services and sales and marketing primarily in healthcare technology. She has a reputation for being creative, insightful and delivering on the commitments made by the organizations she represents.
Most recently, Kendra served as President of Livewell Diabetes / All American Medical, the nations third largest diabetes solution provider serving over 200,000 individuals with diabetes. Livewell Diabetes is developing innovative solutions for payers and providers that leverages Livewell’s regular interactions with patients to collect clinical and behavioral data and motivate patients towards behavior change. In this role, she was responsible for organizing and executing the integration of nearly a dozen acquired assets into a single, highly efficient business operation that could scale to meet the companies growth and innovation plans.
Prior to Livewell, Kendra worked in the surgical cost containments space as the SVP of Marketing and Product Development for Access MediQuip (AMQ), the largest provider of surgical implant management solutions for the payer market. She joined AMQ in a period of rapid change and focused her energies on market awareness, sales enablement and as a key member of strategic sales engagements. Her executive management role and close connection to prospective clients enabled her to develop and launch a multi-year product strategy positioning AMQ to be the first Surgical Benefit Management specialty managed care organization in 2013.
In 2000, Kendra joined NaviMedix, a late stage start-up ready to enter a high growth phase, to develop and lead the company’s product management function, later adding responsibility for marketing as the Chief Marketing Officer. Ms. Obrist developed a best-in-class product management and professional services organization, responsible for creating leading edge clinical, administrative and financial solutions for the payer and provider markets. In this role, Ms. Obrist was an active player in business development and sales engagements focused on adding network participants and content to the rapidly expanding NaviNet network. In her nine years with NaviMedix, the company grew from a few hundred to over 900,000 provider participants generating over a million healthcare interactions each day.
Following her early career in sales with IBM and affiliates, Kendra entered the healthcare field with Integrated Medical Systems Inc (IMS), pioneering information and connectivity solutions serving the payer, provider and pharmaceutical markets. During her tenure with IMS, she held progressively responsible positions in operations, client services, systems integration and product management. She was instrumental in the development of early stage electronic prescribing, clinical information sharing, clinical data stores and administrative data interchange solutions, growing the company’s client base to over 200 hospital systems, 50,000 physicians and a leading managed care organization. In 1998, EDS joined Eli Lilly in the IMS venture, forming Kinetra LLC, which was sold to Healtheon/WebMD in 2000.
Kendra has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from The Pennsylvania State University.
