Sam Schifman

Sam Schifman is a Technical Architect with Point-of-Care Partners. He is a seasoned software architect with experience in finance, education, HR, cybersecurity, and no-code development platforms.

In 2019, Sam transitioned to Healthcare IT by joining Diameter Health as Chief Architect. There, he implemented systems that made clinical data usable for Health Information Exchanges, government entities, insurance providers, and more. He has also engaged with students at WPI, guest lectured at Harvard, and presented at industry conferences like HIMSS.

Sam has always been passionate about AI and its practical applications. He has explored how AI can enhance feedback through sentiment analysis and assist in building applications on no-code platforms. In healthcare, Sam believes AI can have a significant impact if used responsibly. He has contributed to HL7 AI standards, researched NLP’s potential to augment clinical data, and experimented with Generative AI and Large Language Models to unlock health data and advance biomedical research.

Sam is excited about the potential for Healthcare IT to positively impact patient outcomes and looks forward to continuing his work in this field.
