Vanessa Candelora is a consultant at Point-of-Care Partners (POCP) with over 17 years’ experience in professional services, eleven of which are in health care technology. She currently serves as the Project Manager supporting the HL7 Da Vinci Project, a multi-stakeholder collaborative, as part of the Program Management Office (PMO) on 11 use cases, including co-leading Patient Cost Transparency. Her work includes facilitating member-led and public community collaboration and advancing the Implementation Guides, Reference Implementation, and supplemental guidance development for increased industry adoption of HL7 FHIR standard interoperability. Additionally, she recently led a project to define the value model for payers to invest in electronic Prior Authorization and outlined the opportunity for a holistic approach with Real Time Pharmacy Benefit Check and decision support.
Prior to joining POCP, she worked for MedeAnalytics as Director of Account Management, leading a team of Account Managers, Program Managers, and Analysts to drive increased value of health care data analytics products supporting Health Payers, IDNs, and Providers across Employer Reporting, Provider Analytics, and Value-Based Performance Management solutions. Vanessa also worked at NaviNet (now NantHealth), project managing technical improvement projects including Master Data Management and provider registration. She supported teams implementing standard data exchange projects for Payer – Provider interoperability across several workflows. Vanessa is passionate about improving health care through data, technology, and business processes.
Vanessa lives in Massachusetts with her husband Mark, kids Benjamin and Cameron, and Bulldog/Schnauzer Mixed dogs Frank and Beans. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Inspired Home Interiors, a professional residential interior decorating services company. She dreams of more free time to enjoy snowboarding, hiking, sailing, kayaking, volunteering and traveling.
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Business from Northeastern University.
