Janice Reese

Janice Reese is a Senior Consultant with POCP. She is a seasoned leader in healthcare information technology with a wealth of expertise in industry standards, workflow optimization, and cybersecurity. Janice leads the HL7 FAST (FHIR at Scale Taskforce) initiative, instilling confidence in her ability to drive nationwide adoption of scalable FHIR implementations for seamless healthcare data exchange. 

Her work with FAST focuses on critical pillars of interoperability, including Consent, Identity, Security, National Directory, and Testing. Janice ensures these foundational elements are optimized to meet the industry’s needs, enabling efficient, secure, and patient-centered data sharing across stakeholders. Her leadership helps establish the frameworks and best practices for connecting healthcare systems and ensuring compliance with evolving standards and regulatory requirements. 

Janice’s expertise extends beyond healthcare IT into cybersecurity. She volunteers with the Health Sector Coordinating Council Cybersecurity Working Group, which is dedicated to strengthening the sector’s resilience to emerging threats and providing security and protection in the face of evolving challenges.
