Leslie Amorós, APR

Leslie Amorós is a senior communications consultant at Point-of-Care Partners. Leslie is an accomplished communication leader with a 30-plus-year track record of helping organizations achieve their goals and objectives through careful research, stakeholder engagement, strategy creation and implementation with the development of clear, concise, and effective messaging.

Prior to joining Point-of-Care Partners, Leslie was the vice president and senior consultant of Imprado, the managerial consulting division of DynaVet Solutions, and had consulted independently at Amorós Communications for the preceding five years.

Leslie has provided strategic direction for integrated communication initiatives ranging from $5M statewide multicultural voter education campaigns to comprehensive donor relations programs.  She directed communications for two state agencies (the Departments of Insurance and State, where she supported 29 professional licensing boards), and non-profit organizations including the YWCA of York and the Allied Arts Fund. Amorós also directed media relations, digital and internal communications as public relations manager for Capital Blue Cross, and her managerial and leadership experience began as a writer/editor for Penn State’s Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy.

In addition to non-profit and corporate communications roles, she also served as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team in support of a $17.1M federal grant to re-launch the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Health Information Exchange (HIE) initiative.

She received the 2021 Excellence in Service Award from WEDI (Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange), the nation’s leading nonprofit authority on health IT to create efficiencies in health care information exchange. The award recognizes individuals who have provided significant leadership to the fulfillment of the mission, objectives, programs and overall volunteer activities of WEDI through their participation.

Leslie achieved Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America and holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from The Pennsylvania State University, with a minor in classical studies. She also studied at The Athens Centre in Athens, Greece.

In addition to periodically serving on a panel of mentors for Penn State’s Bellisario College of Communications, Leslie is a past president of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, where she currently serves as a director and diversity and inclusion lead. She is the chapter’s Mid-Atlantic District representative and is also a member of the Pennsylvania Public Relations Society.

When not traveling or planning her next trip, Leslie resides with her family in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
